...Hmmmmm...it's a slug. It's a common, and it's defensive which is kind of strange for black. The casting cost isn't great. The most notable thing is that I can't stop looking at it for some reason, so I guess that's something.

Oh boy another slug for my underwhelming slug deck!

1/5. A 2/6 for 5? Strictly for the limited environment.

Slug tribal really needs to get its act together. This is the 5th slug in Magic (or 6th, counting Un-sets). And it's not so good either.

Pretty bad, even in Limited. However, the more creepy-crawlies in Magic the better, imo.

How totally random. As another member stated, random power and toughness vanilla creatures seems to be a theme this set. I have no idea how a 2/6 represents a huge slug, but whatever.
It would have been interesting to give it "last strike" but make it huge, or some other silly ability that at least made sense for slugs even if the end result was equally underwhelming. So, now we have a slug that needs two Hill Giants to kill?!

Your opponent probably won't expect you to sac this to Korozda Guildmage's 2nd ability prior to blocking. Also use withTransmutation effects like Twisted Image and Inside Out.

I'm a big fan of the art, but this slug just won't cut it for any deck of mine.

Why couldn't it eat a creature in a graveyard when it came out?

Can't stand to be in the same universe with cards like these.
