I don't play much competitive standard, nor modern. I can't comment on those formats. But for EDH this thing is amazing. Pin down an opponent. If you can flicker it you can bring back your own creatures (well not directly, but you get to replay them) or exile their creatures permanently. It's a bit high costed, but EDH is the format for playing high cost spells. At least among me and my friends. I really don't see a downside to this. Yeah it doesn't have protection, but think about it. If they kill it right away as long as you exiled 6 cmc worth of creatures. Then there really isn't a way for them to be getting an advantage on you mana wise. Well unless they kill it for zero, but that is unlikely, and even if they do delaying three of their creatures by this much is worth it in my opinion. And if you exile 7 or more cmc there really is no way for them to get an advantage by killing it. Of course they could counter it, but the same could be said for most creatures with removal. 5 stars.... (see all)

Wizards use of "and/or" kind of su€ks. I think they want me to only have three targets total, but taken at face value the card should allow you to have six targets maximum - three on the battlefield and three in the graveyard.
They could eliminate this kind of confusion by using "When Angel of Serenity enters the battlefield you may exile up to three targets: creatures on the battlefield or creature cards in graveyards."
They could use a dash (-) instead of a colon (:), if they get scared about this being misinterpreted as an activated ability.
Unless this card really does read:
"When Angel of Serenity enters the battlefield, you may exile up to three other target creatures from the battlefield and creature cards from graveyards."
or
"When Angel of Serenity enters the battlefield, you may exile up to three other target creatures from the battlefield or creature cards from graveyards."
In which case: Yippee for six exiles (I hope)
(Honestly, the more I think about, if they only want y... (see all)

Those who haven't played against Angel of Serenity are the ones who don't truly appreciate it. This is an INSANE angel. IMO completely resets the game.

This card single handedly inspired me to make a black and white deck.
Ordinarily this card is a 4/5. But when it inspires you to use black and white in conjunction with one another, you can heighten its value just a little.
4.5/5 on a personal level.
