The amazing epicness of this card multiplies by like a 1000 once you actually read the book it's from- Bloodlines.

Sure, it's crap to play with, but it really has a Great Story :)

And Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle is probably the number one reason we'll not see much exploration into lands that generate burn damage anytime soon.

Why not include one into a burn deck?
One real reason is the risk that you will be unable to cast ball lightning.

Saying this is worse than Shivan Gorge is plain silly. One damage to a player versus two damage to any target is HUGE. However, this card is not for a red aggro deck. Use Barbarian Ring. It is for a control deck, especially one that runs Blood Moon.

A card which bears the name "Necropolis" yet has no black but red in it feels weird to me.
Seems more like a "Sangropolis" :P
