Wins drafts singlehandedly - although he doesn't mind help from Niblis of the Breath either! Was incredibly lucky to pull this P1P1 in a triple DKA draft.
Of course, he really shines when you're in Fateful Hour range - which, to my surprise, turns out to be a well-designed mechanic (in my opinion), creating lots of tension and swingy finishes.

I would give this a 5/5 if the art made him look more like Brian Blessed.

I expect a promo on which Fateful hour is replaced with Winter is coming.

Damn it Wizards. Did you already forget about Intruder Alarm? Now if only I could figure out the {U}{W}{R} multicolor deck thing, I could fling my 100,000/100,000 Champion of the Parish at them for maximum damage.

He's getting used in the monster decks? Sweet collateral flavour bro :)
A few ideas concerning the flavour of his fateful hour effect:
1) He has a change of heart at the last minute and decides to resume his career as a motivational speaker.
2) People finally heed his words and look to save themselves, rather than hoping for a saviour. They could perceive their plight as Avacyn testing their faith and that true faith is not passive hope, but resolution. "Act not because your god has abandoned you, but with the reassurance that she watches over us still."
3) If he's helping the monsters, well he's basically a negative Nancy.

Apparently the crazy guy who goes around shouting "The end is near!" can kill a trained soldier in combat and walk away from it.

Works well with Champion of the Parish and the Soul Sisters.
