Why didn't they just make it "destroy two target nonblack creatures if they share a color?" Sure, it's not quite the same, but it's vastly easier to understand, and this wasn't a set with a lot of multicolor or artifact creatures, so the difference is mostly academic -- there was no point in making it that confusing when the relevant cases would almost never come up.

I really like this card for casual. Since many budget-friendly decks are monocolor, you often get 2-for-1 with this card. The non-black hurts though.

It's not "share a color" it's "exactly match in color (or lack of color)".
