Why do people always want to mill after Memory Lapse? It kind of misses the point.

Best card in Homelands, hands down.
It's interesting that people at the time thought it was useless (partially, of course, because Counterspell was overpowered and this inevitably got compared to that.) As someone else said, it's, in some ways, the poor man's time walk, because in the early game it will make your opponent waste two of the most important parts of their turn (their draw and their mana for that turn.)
Usually a card that only delays your opponent isn't that great, but this is a one-for-one, which makes it incredibly useful for slowing faster decks down until you have the mana out to use more permanent control cards.
