Have you been on the receiving end when your opponent summons a SECOND desecration demon? It's like the whole universe hates you and just punched you in your kidneys.
That's when your pacifism suddenly becomes your best friend and decides to topdeck itself.

Guys, why is no one enchanting this guy with Dying wish? This forces the opponent to either leave him as strong as he is, or keep sacing things and hoping you dont have a way to kill him yourself. You could even play it after opp has saced a few things already.

This guy fits his color well: aggressive, with creature removal built-in.
That's what most people who don't think this card is good are missing. You have to have a mix of creatures and spells in your deck. This guy lets you split the difference. He'll be a creature when the board is clear and lay down massive strikes on your enemy, but in the mean time, he'll help you clear the board.
For those saying that Gravecrawler can lock this guy down, what deck are you playing? Beside Fling and Rite of Consumption (for those who want the Fling option, but want to keep it mono-black), even in a normal black deck, you shouldn't have a problem using a normal kill spell to remove whatever zombie they are using to keep re-casting Gravecrawler.
Now they can either sac their Gravecrawler, or still take the damage because he isn't flying and can't block.
And for those with token problems, Ratchet Bomb is your friend... (see all)

A solid 4/5
I like having a presence on the board that will linger, making my foes ever vigilant of the consequences.
