Huh, I didn't know there were any elves in Innistrad.

I'm thinking casually turning a Treefolk Harbinger into a Ghoultree

Nice to build around, for standard legal deck you could use avacyn's pilgrims and possibly scorned villagers for early game, bladesplicer and hero of bladeholds for midgame (yeah and simulacrum's aren't bad either) and blighsteel colossus as finisher, if you ever happen to need one, if you're comfortable adding blue i'd say ponders help a lot.

Combine with Vengeful Pharaoh for the wackiest zombie deck this side of the Nile! Whoa...descendants of pharaoh.

You can potentially get powerful creatures out onto the field early.
But you take the chance of being unable to draw cards you need. You reveal a land or a much needed sorcery, artifact, etc. and must put it away, then you draw a high mana creature that you will potentially never use since you keep putting lands on the bottom of your deck, or a creature that would have been useful.
This seems more luck based than anything else, and can be potentially infuriating

It's an interesting and fun but fairly limited use card. It'll work in theme decks and not much more. EDH will enjoy it, especially ones that are themed around a commander. I pulled a foil one in a box, and the foiling on this card looks incredible. It was one of the cards I wanted foil apart from the obvious ones (Avacyn, Griselbrand, caverns, temporal, etc) simply for the picture.
