@zenitramleirdag: It already has been. It was banned in September. Gatherer doesn't indicate that because Gatherer is just dumb.
Yes, everyone, Worldfire is banned in EDH. Check the banned list at mtgcommander.net

Use with Chandra Ablaze's ultimate. Put any burn spell on the stack, then put Worldfire on the stack.

Rule 118.5: If an effect sets a player’s life total to a specific number, the player gains or loses the necessary
amount of life to end up with the new total.
Oblivion Ring a Tainted Sigil, the Ring leaves play and the sigil comes back after Worldfire, in EDH if 6 players had an average of 20 life remaining each, that results in 114 points of lifegain for you.

What a fun card, this is just made for suspending! Just imagine playing with Jhoira of the Ghitu and on same turn suspend Worldfire AND Heroes Remembered for the fun.
Also a longshot but... deck could pull a funny combo of Nafs Asp and Worldfire

I think I'd try running this in a Locus deck along with Staggershock , bolt, shock and pyromancer's ascension. After 3 locus land down you have 9 mana + 4 mountains. You can run a staggershock along with this. So 7 turns or a bit more and you can end the game.
I haven't tried this at all, but I'm thinking about trying to run a possible mono red or counter burn deck with this. Any advice?

And this is why you always leave three sources of blue mana untapped - Cancel or two mana and a black for my personal favorite undermine....kind of like a veto threat, even if you don't have a counter. Best way to bluff your opponent into NOT setting the world on fire!
