Based on boros reckoner's ruling, if stuffy doll blocks a 10/10, the opponent takes 10 damage (well, the designated player).

Domri Rade can force creatures to fight Stuffy Doll. So can Prey Upon.
Fire Ants, Pestilence, and Pestilence Demon can also be great.

For 99.9% of situations your answer to the trample question is correct. However, for whatever reason that opponent can choose to have any amount of damage more than lethal be dealt to the stuff doll.
Trample is a MAY, you don't have to trample over if you don't want to.
A scenario where this might be a good choice is if the stuff doll is choosing someone other than the player who is attacking you. It may be optimal to have that damage go to the other player, if they are a bigger threat in that game.

I just got the mechanic of stuffy doll doing one damage to itself is the flavorful act of it jamming another pin into its body. That's kinda cool. . .and I'm kinda slow.

Great reprint. The new art is mind-blowingly creepy and the old art is better suited to a voodoo-themed deck. I'm happy to have both.
