Experiment Kraj would be totally broken, after giving the slug a +1/+1 counter to gain the 5: landwalk ability...riiiiiiiight?

Giant anything should not have a 1/1 body.

I love that in the art it's at least 5/5 and more likely 6/6. They really didn't well with their art de***ions back then.

There is one (very small) interesting thing about this card: It gains the ability on your next upkeep, which means that you can pump left-over mana into it at the end of your opponent's turn.

Obviously this doesn't matter because it has one power, but it's interesting design, and would have been fun in permission decks if it had been on a creature with higher power.
