Yeah, this is just too expensive. Then again, even cards like Public Exectuion were still useful enough in M13 draft.
Waitaminute...it's a sorcery? What.

The thing with Public Execution that made it great in limited was the "I'ma kill this guy. You all best behave, now". It was the closest thing black had to Fog.
Do you remember Mental Agony? Do you remember how dangerous discarding was in a draft? No?
Then Assassin's Strike won't even see limited play.

2.5/5. Removal with card advantage for 6. Overcosted. Effective in a removal lite limited environment.

Seriously, why? Just run Murder if you want to destroy something. The added discard isn't worth it for six mana.

Well, at the point in the game when this will be played a bomb is likely the only thing left in hand. So I would rate this card alittle higher. 2 for 1 is pretty good card economy after all and limited is all about card economy and to in the best possible way use your resources.

Ugh, couldn't they just have reprinted Hex? This is embarrassing. -_-;

There's a reason why discard spells are almost never at instant speed.

I think this card was put in to test drafters; MTG needs bad cards as well as good ones to separate the bad and good players.

I dig the art though, such a tiny tiny dagger to kill a man like the dainty assassin she is.
