The flavor seems to be inspired by the urban legends about giant clams trapping divers by closing on their hands and drowning them, not eating them. So the creature drowns slowly, but if the clam becomes untapped (lets go) the victim escapes and swims away to catch their breath.

Way flavorful, but not actually that good if you try to use it, hence the 3.5 stars.

Had this been printed today it would be a splashy rare in a core set (with adjusted power and cost, of course)
