Hasn't anyone looked back at this card? Puts fairies into play for free, whats not to like?

I would say it's still pretty sweet to put Oona, Queen of the Fae into play without paying mana and without giving your opponent the opportunity to counter her with a Remove Soul.

It's an odd card. In its day it was weak because there were no faeries worth using it with. Now there are, but it's hard not to compare it to Elvish Piper...
Also, it suffers from the fact that faeries were moved to blue / black, so even though good things to use it with were theoretically printed, they're in the wrong color.

...the fact that it has zero synergy with either mono-blue or blue/black Faeries?

It does put Changlings into play for free.

Wait, what?
It's really quite worth revisiting the old and much maligned sets.
Green was the original Faerie color.
And, as mentioned, Changelings. Mmmm Hmmm. Here comes my Chameleon Colossus!
