Why not use Tormod's Crypt?
Tormod's Crypt has to be in play, so your opponents can play around it. A Mudhole in response to their Crucible of Worlds has a massive suprise factor.
Furthermore, having a Mudhole resolved against you is the surest way to be put on permanent life tilt. Even if your opponent wins the match, they will most likely spiral into depression and commit suicide in the next few years.
