This card is very far from salvageable, however, still plays a very important role, in totally insulting your opponent if you are feeling daring and ***y. One quick fix is Soul Link. Make a deck filled with those, and Filthy Cur(NO I WILL NOT AUTOCARD ON A COMMENT ON SAID CARD!!!,lol). And the likes of Spirit Link, Vampiric Link, Loxodon Warhammer,Noble Purpose, and any cards of the like. With four Filthy Curs,Thrashing Wumpus,Flesh Reaver, or maybe a Juzám Djinn just to be mean, but the real kicker is Treacherous Link to be plastered on your opponents creatures when they start jeering at you for the Filthy Cur! Mwahahaahahahaahahahahaah! Oh yeah the Thrashing Wumpus reminded me of Thrashing Mudspawn, that would work well in this deck theme as well:)

Really? This is what I'd expect from Homelands... Seriously? When was a 2/2 for 2 overpowered?

Shout out to Jackal Pup?
This is much, much worse, though.

At (1/B) this should have had at least fear or swampwalk or something. I agree it might have been playable for one black. For two black you can have a Black Knight with both first strike and pro-white and no drawbacks, or for a common you could go with Fledgling Djinn that just pings you on upkeep. Even Foul Imp is a better play as you just lose 2 life when it comes out, and it's a flier.

If you're looking for an efficient 2 drop in black, there's much better.
If you're looking for a way to beat the shit out of yourself, there's much better.
1/5, because he's really bad, but not abysmal.

Unplayable unless you can keep all your opponent's creatures off the board and prevent it from dying to direct damage. That's asking a lot to protect a junky little creature like this.

Not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Run it in a red/black deck, give him to your opponent with bazaar trader, use lots of burn. If you can, make him indestructible before trading. Lets you get past things like ivory mask or leyline of sanctity yet still use burn.

Someday, I would love a set to be designed to super-combo with cards like this so that they are not complete wastes of paperboard.
