Extremely high mana requirement aside, I like this card. Multi-purpose exiling effect? Yes please. (Although the only place I would ever use it would be in an EDH deck)

If you are exiling a creature brittle effigy is better. This does have better flexibility though it's too expensive to use.

I can make copies of this using Mirrorworks and sacrifice the copies... But even then, that will get pretty expensive.

Well, i guess if you are running a deck with tons of mana to spare, this is a very handy thing to have. But too pricey to put in any other sort of deck.
