My fun idea for this guy is to have 20 artifacts in play (probably with Mycosynth Lattice, as many people have noted). Then play him and follow with Final Fortune right after (because the win condition triggers on your upkeep). Granted if they have any kind of instant removed you're boned, but if not it's a pretty classy way to win.

I can see this guy being a great addition to EDH, even if you don't get to really make use of the artifact-stealing ability.

edh game
me: alright I play mwonvuli beast tracker to tutor for hellkite tyrant , pass
opponent: ooh that's not good considering I have an artifact deck, so I'll mind sculpt you
me:...shit, alright
*5 turn later*
opponent: alright I played darksteel forge then equip one of my creature with a silverskin armor, have fun getting around me
me: ok that last play left you with no mana correct ?
opponent:...y-yeah
me: cool I played torrent of souls to pull hellkite tyrant from the grave
opponent: goblin balls...ok I can still deal with him, he can't attack this turn
me: guess again, I spent red to cast torrent of souls, he get +2 and haste...attack ! no blocker ? then I'll take...everything you own I guess, now I'll equip my tyrant with silverskin armor and make him indestructible
opponent:...I scoop

This dragon is quite possibly the pinnacle of an EDH card.

Amazing synergy with Hammer of Purphoros and Purphoros, God of the Forge. The hammer gives him haste so he can instantly attack and steal opponent's artifacts(which from my experience is the main problem faced when trying to steal artifacts with him) and allows for the creation of artifact creatures, albeit at the often high cost of saccing a land. However, since the golems are tokens, they can be populated and since Purphoros himself does two damage whenever a creature enters play under your control, and the red mana costs in the hammer and tyrant are just enough to make Purphoros a 6/5 creature himself, odds are you won't even need the Tyrant's win-con, but it's nice insurance either way.

Mycosynth Lattice and this dragon go together like peas and corn in EDH.
Swing at anyone, take everything they own.
