"Come on, Worldfire one time!"

Seriously though, this can potentially hit anything you put in your deck, seems fun. Kind of like Warp World imo...

I'm curious; what happens if you cast Unexpected Results from your graveyard (say, via Snapcaster Mage, reveal a land card and put it onto the battlefield. Does Unexpected Results come back to your hand, or does it stay exiled since it was cast with flashback?

702.32a Flashback appears on some instants and sorceries. It represents two static abilities: one that functions while the card is in a player's graveyard and the other that functions while the card is on the stack. "Flashback " means "You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying rather than paying its mana cost" and "If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack." Casting a spell using its flashback ability follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2e-g.

So no, it would be exiled. The only recursion that works with flashback is the type on cards like Arc Blade, because it's still going to exile.

Doomsday and unexpected results = Almost auto win.

4 Emrakul and 1 Omniscience maybe?

The first time I played this was at a mini-release-limited tournament I did with my friends. I layed the spell out and started shuffling my library as I explained what it did. At the end, my opponent said, "Oh, that's pretty cool. I'll counterspell that." I stared at him blankly, still shuffling my deck.

The result ... was definately unexpected ^_^

since there are multiple steps in this card how would it work if you did something like Crystal Ball or a Scry effect right after the shuffle step of the card? would you be able to try and manipulate the card in some respects or would you be unable to play with it at all?

This is undoubtedly fun, but it is unfortunate when you reveal a prime speaker or a biomass muattion (some of the best cards in simic).

To play this I would need to have some idea of what's in my next few draws à la ponder or something akin to that.

I tried this on a Simic deck that generates lots of mana via Arbor Elf and Verdant Haven. Of course, I also have many cards with X in the mana cost (Biomass Mutation, Slime Molding and Nimbus Swimmer are my favorite), and many counters, as is the norm for any blue deck worth its salt. The point is, the odds of drawing a useless card with this is very high. And being specifically a Simic card, I don't really see much synergy between this card and the general mantra of the Guild. Maybe in a reanimator deck where you get the chance to put a very nasty creature into play, whether directly or by casting a revival spell for free, but other than that, this card is too risky and too expensive, at least in my case.

@Tiggurix

Unless the spell has an X cost.

I can't see myself using this outside EDH, or in a very particular type of deck. Any 'unexpected results' would probably turn out to be something totally useless like a counterspell.
