Come on, Entreat the Angels wasn't that bad before this.
Seriously though, is the instant speed that relevant when compared to Sever the Bloodline?

Ohai, Ral. =3
I can't wait to see you in May. Please be amazing. You're easily my favorite living character in Magic.
WotC killed everyone else I liked. T_T
EDIT: Also, flavor text win.

The perspective is fine. The lightning is coming from the clouds. Ral Zarek is holding his hand to match up with the lightning to indicate that he is causing it, not that it is being emitted by his fingers.

Perspective fail in the art. Apparently Ral's frying a scale model of a town.

Awesome card but that perspective is terrible.

I was pretty smug when I played this against Master of Waves' minions with my Young Pyromancer deck.
...gosh darn elementals...

@SyntheticDreamer: He's frying the same tiny city that Isperia, Supreme Judge is watching in RtR, the city in Bottled Cloister.

So he DOES exist! I was getting worried that he'd be just left as a concept in Duels of the Planeswalkers and get replaced by some stupid Izzet version of Jace or something.
