The Toil part is a cool addition for an Orthov pauper (semi-pauper or casual) deck.
There's Sign in Blood, but if you want more, you can add this in too.
Your deck composing of cheap extort permanents, this, Sign in blood and some cheap removals and you might just pull it off :)

Gasp! I need to Reverberate the second half of this card just so I can say: "Prepare for trouble! MAKE IT DOUBLE!"

This is going directly into my B/U/R deck with Liliana's Caress, Wheel of Fate, Wheel and Deal, Magus of the Jar, Cerebral Vortex, etc...

This card is the bane of control decks in my local meta. Smacking them in the face for 6 or 7 turn 3 has been the deciding factor in my favor many times

This has proven to be a great counter against decks utilizing Sphinx's Revelation.

Furnace of Rath
Fire Servant
Curse of Bloodletting
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
I hope you realize where I'm going with this.
(Also I just realized how spot on this card is flavorwise- you give your opponent a glimpse of the future, a new strength... and then make them suffer for taking it)
