He has two of the most powerful tribal tags in the game, at the very least.

Could find a home in someone's pauper knight or elf deck, as any buffs whatsoever make this guy pretty sweet for just five mana.

such a shame he's not a 5/5. could have been one memorable elf for Naya power. really, such a shame.

I'm actually okay with this. As long as they stop printing vanilla cards like Renegade demon (with 5/3 for 5 cmc) and keep the formula as 5cmc for 4/6 (maybe 7) or 5/5 or 6/3. In fact I use them to teach new players a lot. They can be fun.

A defensive vanilla with awesome art. Not much else to see here.

It's sad that he's a vanilla, but 4/6 for 5 mana isn't too shabby. 3/5

Vanilla common with good art and fair stats. Nothing magnificent, but nice.

I could easily see this being re-printed in a core set. The name, color weight and creature types are resonant.

With giant wurms and wolf riders, the hippie guild somehow manages to be the most badass guild in Ravnica.

It's amazing how a card this simple can serve so many purposes.

In Limited, it's solid curve-filler that'll demand removal, even without evasion,

In Pauper, he's a valuable member of two very significant tribes,

And for casual games with new players, he's simple enough to teach them the benefits of playing multicoloured decks.

Not to mention he does it all with gorgeous art, courtesy of Matt Stewart. Lovely common.

I just don't get this card flavor wise. Why is it so dang big? It's an elf sitting on top of an unusually large wolf. Seems like it should be a 2/2 or a 2/3 or something, but 4/6!?! Every time I look at this card my initial reaction is WTF???
