Pictured here, seconds before the Golgari player casts Abrupt Decay. Just look at the art!

This card has awesome art and it'll be a beast in a kiln fiend-style deck. 4 toughness is the magic number to dodge bolts and searing spears too. I can definitely see this being played quite a bit in pauper.

This fixes the thing that always bothered me most about Kiln Fiend: the toughness. I actually would consistently play Wee Dragonauts over Kiln Fiend for the awesome move that is "Pyroclasm, swing for three." Being able to use the red damage boardwipes gives the Kiln Fiend style deck so much less of a glass cannon sort of feel.

I really like that 4 toughness. Between that and being kiln fiend, it's a nice little guy to have around. I rarely attack for 1 anyway.

T3: This. T4: Land, Artful Dodge (4/4), Artful Dodge flashback (7/4), Armed // Dangerous (Armed) (11/4), swing for 22 points of damage.
I just found my new deck.

This guy did work for me during the prerelease. I won at least two games where this guy and a Hover Barrier or Doorkeeper were in play. I'd target my OTHER wall with Dragonshift and swing for 8 when they weren't expecting me to have any sort of attackers on the field at all. Was pretty sweet and I think I'd like to expand the concept into a constructed deck with tons of defenders to the point I'd be able to overload Dragonshift for the win.
Oh, btw, that +3/+0? That remains even if you turn him into a dragon because his ability activates first and therefore it remains til the end of turn as it activates before Dragonshift successfully turns him into the 4/4 flying dragon.

Both this and Kiln Fiend reach a one hit kill if granted double strike and three instants/sorceries are cast while Wee Dragonauts takes 4 if its given +1/+0 (Distortion Stike). I smell a pauper deck.

The artist has to play videogames.
Looks like Bioshock's Big Daddy, of course,
But am I the only one who sees a Keyblade in the background?
Cannot unsee. ><
