It still has a place in kitchen table tops. 5 damage is still 5 damage and could easily finish the game.

Please just reprint it with "Catch!" already.

Probably the best bad card Magic has ever printed -- realizing this thing sucks is a rite of passage.
And it doesn't always suck. In what was the most hilarious pre-release play I've ever had the joy to experience, I exiled this off the ultimate of Chandra, Pyromancer, tossed it to my opponent, and said "Catch!" in the chirpiest voice I could manage. And then we both just lost it. He had been trying to race me instead of swinging at Chandra. I had been whittled down to 4 life. He went from 14 life to -1. We couldn't even fill out the tournament results form for about ten minutes. He was literally crying from laughing so hard.
I believe the word for that kind of moment is 'epic.' From some of the worst cards, come some of the most epic victories.

Now watch there be a spell called Cinder Hatchet in Theros that's strictly worse than this. Somehow.

Someone won a game with this at the prerelease after their opponent used Devout Invocation to bring in like 4 angels. It was fantastic.
