Yay! Falter's back! Funnily enough, I commented way back on Gruul Charm that they would likely not reprint this effect again! Whatever the case, this card can and will simply win games for people stalled on the ground. It's pretty sweet, if only for that.

Perfect flavor as the instant speed on Falter is moot except in multiplayer or the most fringe cases. Maro has said he wishes instants didn't even exist and specific sorceries had Flash and I'm inclined to agree. I think we may see some more Sorcery love for Red like Recoup in the future.

I call foul on the ruling on this card. (This card hits non-fliers not present on the field at time of resolution).
Compare against Past in Flames. Why the inconsistency, Wizards???????

@fibonacci112358: There's no inconsistency. If this card said "All non-flying creatures gain "this creature cannot block" until end of turn", then it would only effect things that were in-play and non-flying at the time it resolved. That hypothetical card, like Past in Flames, does something to the creatures. This card, however, doesn't do anything to the creatures themselves, but instead does something to the game rules.
