Well if the intimidate is working, its somewhat playable. Otherwise its junk.

I wish he was more competitively costed, but looting while doing damage is a unique combination. I'd run him in multi-colored limited decks to increase consistency of the card draw.

From the pre-release, M14 limited seems like a very evasion-friendly set. You need things to toss your equipment and auras on. This guy is pretty low on the power side, but may be fringe playable (or sideboardable) if you need some more evasion. Still barely a 2/5, if that.

It's not that good, but it's an interesting take on looters. Could be good in limited at least as a 22nd or 23rd card.

A. I really like the Flavor :)
B. Card is Bad :/
C. Duh to both of the above. :P
The real comment:
they're being conservative with Red card draw.
this makes sense. Imagine if they woke up one day and said "Blue needs better creatures because the game is all about creatures" and started making even Uncommon Blues really good in limited at attacking and blocking. like a Blue Knight with protection from Green o_O
Obviously they would not start out with a Blue Knight as good as White Knight, because that's asking for trouble. Blue really needs very little, even when counterspells are bad, to dominate the entire game. Good creatures would do it, because card draw is Always Blue's Domain.
right now, Red card draw is still weak-bad-sauce as a mechanic, with Faithless Looting being really great as a card.
Give them some years, they will tweak Red Card draw to where it should be. Better to do this slow than to give us an OP Red draw spell, because Draw i... (see all)

This card would be borderline limited-playable as a 2/2. As a 1/1... think I'll pass

Interesting card. Gets worse the fewer cards you have on your hand, and is obviously best in some sort of graveyard based deck. Still, it's not that awesome. After all, it's just a 1/1 for three mana, that sometimes has evasion and sometimes not, and if you have only few cards on hand, his ability doesn't help that much.

1/1's for 3 are kinda bad, especially with good ol' Doom Blade back among us.
2/5 Stars

I don't see any reason for why this couldn't at least have been a 2/1.

It's not THAT bad. It's better than the uber crap like that 4/2 flash for 6 mana dude from gatecrash. This is at least a non-red feeling card that is red. It's a really bad version of looter il-kor, but it's a red version. I like it personally, but it is still not very good.
