Combos really well with Detention Sphere or Ratchet Bomb. Also good for handling Gods and other indestructible threats.

You Akroan's think far too highly of your selves, your greatest hero's and gods are but pigs to us.

"Oh, a Boros Reckoner? Look at All those new red mana symbols. It would be a shame if, uh...something were to happen to them."
This isn't a board wipe, it's how you (1) hose devotion, (2) permanently deal with annoying abilities, which can be harder for blue, and (3) cut those hydras down to size. Born of the Gods looks like it is going to have a lot of nasty cards, so this guy might be one of the better cheap ways to deal with them for blue.

Ridiculously good in EDH where the boars are basically useless versus non-aggro decks. It's one of the best removal in the format because of its flexibility; with only a bit of mana you can pinpoint remove utility creatures, and with a lot of mana you can Plague Wind boards.
From a color pie perspective, I don't like it, but it's not going to go away, so I might as well get used to it. I just hope that we don't get another X version of this any time soon.

We need bacon tokens, and turkey tokens for Swan Song, and Pack Rat tokens eating bacon and turkey.
