The type line says Elemental, but he was a beast at the prerelease. Almost every time he got monstrous, which wasn't terribly difficult thanks to the Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx I pulled, it meant victory. The loss of land wasn't a big deal either. So glad I chose Warrior.

Just ignore the infinitely expensive monstrosity cost.
The Monstrosity bumped it another 0.0001.
It's still a 4/5 for 4 mana - a very efficient creature.

Based on the Monstrosity text, presuming enough mana, could I target three lands to sacrifice, but then sacrifice one or more of them from another ability? It doesn't appear that the monstrosity ability is dependent on the sacrifice... The monstrous text doesn't say "target" lands, so does that mean, if I sacrificed one of the three lands from another source, I would then have to choose a different (i.e. 4th) land?
Example (Standard Format): Encroaching Wastes, Grove of the Guardian, Hammer of Purphoros

@Gaiden.17
If the other sacrifices would drop you bellow three lands, then you could sacrifice less to ember Swallower, but you can not sacrifice the same permanent to multiple effects.

Been using this in conjunction with Primeval Titan to ramp into its monstrosity cost and to ensure I only end up losing one land to my opponent's three.
Good enough for more casual circles.
