A perfect example of how a card's value can't be summed up with A+B arguments. Shock is mediocre at Red, and scry 2 for 1 would be pretty bad. (Serum Visions/Preordain without the cantrip.) But having those two effects on one card is great, Its the fact that you're only spending one card for the effect, I run this as a 4 of in my modern Miracle deck, and it is up there near lightning bolt for usefulness. Never make a bad draw again!

God I love Scry. I wasn't into to Magic (or even aware of it at the time) when Scry originally existed. The return of it has made me a believer and I want more of it for my R/U combo deck I'm working on.
