I put this in my mono black EDH deck (I have about 7 possible commanders in the deck and all fit the deck strategy) with a Jitte and it can be rediculous. With enough targetted removal in the deck to keep the creature count low I can end up pushing Jitte's counters into the 20's with ease.

This guy often 2-for-1's, and is quite playable. Especially properly equipped, he demands removal, and being black doesn't hurt either, as he dodges lots of black removal. A solid 3-drop that is similar in utility to (and arguably better than) Fleshbag Marauder if he hangs around.

I like oona's prowler better, feel like the cards are pretty similar in that theyre an evasive 3 every turn unless the opposition drops a card. But prowler is a scant 2 mana which is significantly better than 1bb for this fellow. I bet they would work well together for early black card advantage.

Can't help but notice that he, much like Gatekeeper of Malakir and Fleshbag Marauder, is a warrior. Sacrifice-centric warrior tribal? Since they all force sacrificing, having any of them pick up an Obsidian Battle-Axe and attack could really take an opponent by surprise. Meanwhile, Skull Collector can reset your Gatekeepers and Marauders without even forcing you to miss combat phases (thanks to the Axe)... I smell a deck brewing.

Ogre Marauder is an absolutely amazing card. Sometimes its ability is actually better than simply being unblockable all the time because it allows you to trick your opponents. For example, let's say it's your turn and you have out Ogre Marauder, while your opponent has a Llanowar Elves and a Leatherback Baloth. You attack, they sacrifice their elf to make the ogre blockable... and then you play Geth's Verdict, making them sacrifice their baloth and lose 1 life, and they ALSO take 3 from the ogre.
