It...Has it's weakness.
I like the function, though. It's another path to take as opposed to the land-power creep that seems to be happening.
Perhaps let it tap for instead of one of two different mana types and keep the downsides.
No wait, sorry. I forgot how the game worked for a second, and why that's a terrible idea.turn 2 4-cost spells without any card disadvantage.

Kamigawa is very odd set. There are number of very powerful cards such as pithing needle, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, and Umezawa's Jitte, yet so many uncommons and commons are very disappointing.
Wizards should have known by that time lands that do not untap when it produces colored mana blows.

Stellar art, sub-par land.

Form Mirrodin to this. Wizards must've been having mood swings. Ah well, Ravnica was awesome.

Compare to Kazandu Refuge and Karplusan Forest. If you're building on a budget, these are all solid lands for your {RG} deck. Consider this; Pinecrest Ridge is only uncommon, so it's not supposed to be great. But, Pinecrest Ridge, unlike Kazandu Refuge, Rootbound Crag, Stomping Ground, and Copperline Gorge, never comes into play tapped. The value is there on turn 1. And that's all {RG} decks care about.
Admittedly, I'd rather play Rootbound Crag or Stomping Ground or Grove of the Burnwillows depending on the format, but this is an ok land.

Pinecrest Ridge...sounds like an apartment complex, or maybe a high school...I have nothing else to say about this card except that it's a direct reprint of Mogg Hollows from Tempest.

At least you can use it for colorless without penalty, unlike the Ice Age equivalent

DacenOctavio's right. This really isn't bad. Not great, but not bad. Oftentimes this land's only downside will be that it's tapped on T2, which can be better than something like Highland Weald. You can use this for that crucial 1-drop, then it sits out for T2, and then from T3 on out you can use it for colorless mana every turn.
