I don't know if that would actually work with hidetsugu because its not technically damage. Some fun combos might be savage beating, or hellkite charger, as well as chandra nalaar's ultimate thereby doing 20 to opponent and each of their creatures. The biggest issue with this card is it's over cost in mana for what it does, seeing as its not a one sided benefit.

If you replaced "permanent" with "source" you'd have my attention. As is...potentially useful, but too expensive and lacks synergy with other red Arcane spells, most notably ones that actually do damage.
