Every time I read that flavor text, I get reminded that I have a very bad phobia of being blind/unable to see.

To me, that's scary as hell.

A lot? It's an aura, it only effects one creature. Of course, it's still well worth it.

A 0/3 Serra is even less effective than a 1/4 Baneslayer.

Might have potential in EDH where disabling a commander can be more useful than removing it.

Hey it does not have any kind of restrictions, and can shut down anything as powerful as serra angel for 1Black. Not bad at all. Still it doesnt answer many kinds of threats, like Elvish Archdruid for example.

3/5, only because white does it better with pacifism.
