hey all the flip cards are finally fixed on the Gatherer. hooray.
as for this card, well I like it. It doesn't require you to cast four spells yourself (although you should definitely have a way to in your deck, when your opponent sees this, they're not even going to cast 3) and when it's finally flipped, it only counters your opponents spells.
I must break you for modern!

If the third spell was played, Erayo is on the battlefield, and someone tries to Shock him, that would count as a fourth spell and his trigger would go off and resolve before Shock resolves. The burn spell would then have no legal targets and fizzle as a result.

If Erayo himself is the fourth spell, the trigger doesn't go off as he isn't on the battlefield. Someone might even cast a fourth spell while he's on the stack and prevent him from flipping.

Some decks actually do have combos that feature Erayo and another card, like Mana Maze or Arcane Laboratory, and are able to do a second-turn flip (as showcased by Ruins). I'm certain that Vintage decks could even do a turn 1 flip - Mox/Mox/Erayo/Mox, but that's hardly effective as most Vintage decks run even more restraining cards like Trinisphere.

If you're running combo with him, definitely use cards like Cloud of Faeries or autoc... (see all)

I like legendary enchantments, and like things that *become* legendary enchantments even more, but the art for this one looks like discarded online-party-favor clip art.

Regardless, this is a delightfully weird way to protect storm combo and/or high tide combo from Force of Will (what are they going to do, assemble two Force of Wills?). It's not like blue has a hard time casting four spells in a turn. All the easier now that Gitaxian Probe exists! :)

Should be banned as an EDH general. No one wants to play against that.

the trick is to play this as your third spell. and then immediately play your fourth.

@Donovan- If it says opponent, then your teammates and yourself are not included.

you know Erayo counts itself as it's fourth spell...so play it after your third and it automatically activates. playing a spell just constitutes putting it on the stack even if a spell is countered it is still considered played...so knowing that play three spells and use Erayo on the fourth but be careful because if she still has to resolve to get the effect...as for using Rule of Law...that is no fun at all its winning through people quitting the game it causes a lot of anger and hate believe me I know we had two people in our Magic group who ran that combo and no one ever wanted to play them. Just food for thought. Great card though and in team games its even better between two people playing 4 spells is no problem at all lol.
