For such a harsh drawback I want something huge or at least a good evasion ability and lifelink. Total crap as it is.

Urza block had enough huge black creatures for modest mana cost that this guy got overlooked and rightly so.
And there is no reason to look back

Drawbacks like that should come with something better than CMC= power and toughness.

According to Gatherer, the worst card in Urza's block. This is just flat-out terrible. 3Black for a vanilla 4/4 wasn't terribly overcosted even then; giving it this ability would justify it being something like a 7/7 for 3Black, or a 4/4 for BlackBlack. Oh well. Being the worst card in a block of good cards is an achievement at least. 0.5/5
