A little more interesting now with Innistrad and its Village Cannibals. Hopefully Dark Ascension will introduce even more synergistic cards.

I don't understand the flavor of "can't be blocked by saprolings." Are plants scared of screaming townsfolk?

I guess they needed a card to rein in Selesnya/Golgari saproling decks? Oh Vindictive Mob, you so silly.

You have to sac a creature because someone gets trampled in the chaos and saprolings cant block cause you just burn them down with torches. this card makes perfect sense to me. lol

I dont know exactly why people are ripping on this card THAT much... i mean yes ravnica, but also the card is black.... and black means golgari, who revolved around having yourself sacrifice creatures. But hey, dont get me wrong, still kinda useless outside of ravnica

Good in Ravnica block, because of the huge quantity of saproling tokens, but nowadays its a tad overcosted for a creature that makes you sacrifice a dude when he enters the battlefield. Besides, most tokens used in formats where this is allowed are faeries, elves, goblins, merfolk, or even thopters.

A tad overcosted nowadays? When has a 5/5 for 6 with a painful negative ability and no significant positive abilities been anywhere near good? Why does this have a 3 star rating? The CIP sac effect is supposed to be a balancer for otherwise overpowered creatures. Actually, none of the cards with that effect are good. Anyway, this wouldn't be worth 6 without it's neg. ability.

Example of what a 5/5 for 6 should be: Visara the Dreadful

It's "Trinket Text". Normally, I'd say Trinket Text shouldn't cost mana. Here's the catch though:

This is a Black Card that is a sacrifice outlet. As unintuitive as it is at first, we have come a long way with this little game of ours, and it is CORRECT that sacrifice outlets should be charged a mana-premium. :P should this be both uncommon And 6 mana? ...na, I'd be ok with uncommon and 5 mana, or common and 6 mana.

it could have Trample.

this card is either underdeveloped or overdeveloped, but if you add the line 'When Craw Wurm ETB, sac a creature" to a Craw Wurm, then Paint it Black, you have made a Better Craw Wurm. Not Strictly Better, but better.

Green can pretend that sacrificing a creature to play a creature is a downside. Black cannot. That's my opinion.

It's a 5/5 because it represents 5 1/1 human tokens banded together probably. Hey look, they fixed banding!
