I'm not sure I like how the card comes together. The cost says "Play me in Mono-Black." The drawback says "Dear God, please, don't play me in Mono-Black!"

Great with Leyline of Singularity, especially if it is in your opening hand along with a Dark Ritual :D

One time I drew this in my opening hand, then I couldn't stop smirking after my opponent put down the leyline of sanctity that was in his.

If you play this on turn 2, play a Necroplasm on turn 3 to wipe the tokens. Alternatively, cast both on turn 5 (or sooner if you have acceleration) to get rid of the tokens immediately.

There are plenty of ways to get around the tokens, even in mono black; Gatekeeper of Malakir and Cruel Edict come to mind. But you want to be EVIL? Gather Specimens.
