Never before have the words: 'Before the end of your turn...' been so downright sinister...

Gilder bairn with this card would be instant tap down of your opponents field for some 3 mana per untap of gilder bairn, as you get lots of counters. Maybe not the most convenient way to use control method on your opponent with the variety of other options available in the newest sets, but it doesn't hurt. Could also use with tokens, tap all their creatures for tapping a bunch of your 1/1's. Can also see combo potential here with stoic angel.
Merfolk also a definite probability, they have selkies, that already blue/green, and splash white. Combine with stonybrook schoolmaster or summon the school for infinite tap downs along with merrow commerce.
@exterion, I double the counters on planeswalkers, like garruk, or ajani vengeant.

This is a powerful control card. Green isn't known for control, but Glare of Subdual simply says green has much potential for it.

This + Vitu-Ghazi, the city-tree = ghaziglare
There are probably much more efficient ways to get a creature token into play nowadays though

@Donovan: What exactly would you do with all these counters? One of few things I could think of was putting them on your Mycoloth or some thallid to get more saprolings into play.

This compared to Opposition kind of shows that blue is still superior in control than white and green combined.
On the other hand, these colors are better in creating creature tokens (even white with Martial Coup or Conqueror's Pledge), and on top of that Ravnica's Selesnia guild is focused on that, making it more useful in block-constructed.

@keino
What are you talking about? The ability activates 1 at a time. If you tap 12 creatures for it's ability it puts 12 separate activated abilities onto the stack. If someone removes Glare of Subdual from play it doesn't matter. The abilities on the stack aren't dependent on their source remaining in play. Otherwise things like Mogg Fanatic wouldn't work at all.
@bankotsu92 Your question is a tad confusing, but I'll give it a shot
You have Glare of Subdual and 2 1/1 tokens in play. You want to tap 2 of your opponents creatures. You tap Token A and target Creature 1. Then you activate the ability again tapping Token B and target Creature 2. Your opponent then activates an ability on creature 2. They tap it to return Glare of Subdual to your hand. The ability targeting Creature 2 tries to resolve but doesn't have a valid target. The ability targeting Creature 1 ... (see all)

Exalted creatures and Naya Gargantuans work well with this spell, as does Seedborn Muse.

Can you use Glare of Subdual on your opponent's turn after it is on the battlefield?
