Throw this in a deck with Ajani's Mantra and you've a shock every turn, just about.

You can make an awfully effective burn/life gain combo deck out of this. I use it with Tamanoa, but you could combo it with about any life gaining cards. Even underwhelming cards like Tanglebloom or Pristine Talisman will basically allow you to Shock your opponents or their creatures every turn, more than that if you have other instances of life gain and more mana.
In a more carefully constructed deck, this can actually be your main offensive weapon.

Dragon's Claw, Glitterfang, Lightning Helix, and other burn low mana burn. I hurt you, i gain life, and that lets me hurt you again.

Discard a Firemane Angel (or a few) with Peace of Mind, and you have a winner for repeat damage every turn.
EDIT: And, each Firemane Angel gains life separately, which means you can activate the Meditation several times a turn if you have multiple copies.

My deck involves this + Soul Warden. When they play a creature, you gain life and burn the creature if you can. If you can't kill it with 2 damage, hit them in the face.

Combos I can see this working? Hearthfire Hobgoblin (or Naya Hushblade)+Scourge of the Nobilis; Ajani Goldmane; any life gaining card.
