Not sure what the purpose of this card is.

if this is half-Rabbit, half-Piranha, why doesn't it have the creature type Rabbit Fish Beast? that'd be amazing.

I hated pulling him as a rare during the editions he was printed in, as Mahamoti Djinn is already in this set at 6 CMC and flying at the cost of 1 power
He gets 1/5 for being a rabbit and thats it...

Horrible. Consider that this card was made AFTER Mahamoti Djinn, which itself was considered a solid card, but by no means a game-breaker or format-defining. Magic went through a period spanning from about 5th edition to 9th where it was considered acceptable to clutter up the base set with absolutely unplayable garbage like this card. Apparently, it was "good" for new players to pull useless cards from core sets while experienced players pulled far more powerful cards from expansions.

Blue is supposed to have the biggest creatures, except obviously green. Either way, I think it's just outclassed by Goliath Sphinx.

Although the card sucks, you have to say that the flavor is just amazing for this card.
But yeah, I agree with a Wizard holding a fish and a bunny that you sac to put a token of him in play. Or with the new flip cards, how about that? I could see this fitting quite well, actually, with the blue zombie deal in Innestrad.

You'd think a bunny-piranha would be... smaller, right?
By the looks of it, that bored wizard maybe...
Maybe he/she took a page out of Delver of Secrets book...
OR MAYBE IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND! OOOOOOH, SH1T'S GETTIN' REAL!

I believe they made a lot of these cards when they made the learn to play magic video game. Lack of abilities and extremely simple/bad cards both helped bring in a much younger crowd as well as simplify the work that the software had to do.
Keep in mind that these were not actually placed in booster packs.
