wow you guys are morons, shrinking the deck isnt bad at all. It means that if the card is a dead card, at least it helps you cycle. Thats what casting it more or less is. And I hope you can see the value in cycle.

SHRINKEN is not a word. Describing the effect of making something smaller is said 'shrinks.' The use of baubles and cantrips SHRINKS your decks. Jesus Christ...go back to school and get your money back...they OBVIOUSLY failed you. (figuratively, not literally)

Card is great, I hadn't previously viewed shrinkening my deck as advantagilicious.

You can give any sorcery wanted instant-speed for one tiny blue mana with that. Sounds like a fair trade.
It also in some way slightly shrinkens the deck size, but as ttian said, that's rather negligible normally^^

A cheap cantrip like this can of course also be useful if you run cards that profit from drawing.

And as Vektor hinted, Isochron Scepter is another card that works nice with that card as well.

I also like the fact that they printed a white version of this for creatures.

@Hydrogoose and ttian: I concede that mentioning the shrinking option was rather dumb and is most often negligible, but i was thinking about the Baubles at that time, which can sorta shrink your deck at the cost of a delayed card draw to increase the chance of getting the cards you want for several desired combos. Of course this isn't worth the effort in most cases, but Hydrogoose apparently didn't get that one, sinc... (see all)

This card allows some of the most epic play in the game! The fact that is an instant (instead of an Enchantment or an Artifact) bring the surprise factor at the highest level! The draw-a-card "side-effect" allow it to replace itself and sometimes that can even be the main effect, if you want to cycle it.
Just perfect!

5/5

that's the reason why i play acall. to shrinken my deck. not to actually draw cards. in fact the best is when i play it with 8 cards in hand so i just have to discard. but it still shrinkens my deck good. mate. MATE.
