Does this card's activated ability target in the way that Kor Haven does? Can this card prevent the damage from a Kalonian Behemoth?

Perfectly usable in EDH. Kor Haven is usually better, but since this doesn't target, it will stop damage from hexproof targets (As generals are often made) and it can stop damage from spells as well.
This was clearly designed for control decks where you spend your mana on your opponent's turn. I think the cost is high enough that I would be reluctant to play it in even a very casual 60 card deck. Still, the art and flavor text are good and its not Nivix, so that's something.
