3/2 First Strike is already a nicely priced creature. If you have low hand size (which all Rakdos or aggressive deck often are) the ability is very much one-sided against your opponent. Even if you have to discard you can design your deck around cards with madness or creatures that come back (like Bloodghast). Adding Cursed Scroll, you will utilize the power even more.
All in all, a delicate creature with a lot of uses and very powerful in the right deck.

Another neat card that's best with hellbent, but isn't actually hellbent. I used to think this was mediocre but looking at it from new Rakdos eyes (years later) I can see I actually should have a playset of these.
You can discard anything in their hand. Let that sink in. If your deck runs on 3-4 mana, this guy basically tears your opponent's hand apart if you haven't finished doing so already. He's not fast enough to be used as your primary discard and his defensive/offensive body doesn't synergize with his ability; however, it allows him to be useful all the time.
He's also 3 cost allowing for some really speedy plays with Unearth and Anger and a 1-mana discard outlet. Talk about tempo if you hit with a Dark Ritual! God hands aside, good luck facing that down if he nabs one of your starting lands..

Good for many of the same reasons that Liliana of the Veil's +1 ability is useful. When playing against a control or combo deck the ability hurts your opponent far more than it hurts you.
