def. one of the best elf cards printed (4) for a 4/4, it beafs the other creatures up (watchwolf, isamaru,... etc.) mono or duel a great card !!!

Blindthrall is right...and it's arguments like that that make me think a card needs to be printed that reads "You are your own opponent". Forget investigating the repercussions :)

I think this card is over rated, its not to disimiliar from any other liege, and the discard affect while a nice touch vs a cruel ultimatum or black deck, is rarely going to come in handy. I do fight discard decks now and then, but thats maybe every 1 in 10 matches or something. So, assuming thats the case, the rest of the time shes a 4 mana, 4/4, with a glorious anthem'esque type ability, which is decent, but no power house. Several other cards have similiar affects, and as loerny pointed out the knight of new alara is strictly better for multi colored. All in all, shes a decent addition to a deck, but I like to use cost benefit for card choices, and I'd rather use something awesome vs. something that's decent.

Not the best or worst liege, I'd only use it because it's fairly survivable and it boosts the creatures. The discard ability won't happen so often.

@ Blindthrall; Occasionally? You need to read up on Madness. Red is all over that.

But yea, you can pretty much just disregard the third ability for the most part. That's just a safety, to make sure it falls on the battlefield. A 4/4 for 4CMC that beefs up all your other guys for at least +1/+1 is more than good enough in its own right. Though I must say, on a somewhat related note, I prefer Balefire Liege.

So it essentially has Madness 0?

Turn 1: Forest, Llanowar Elves
Turn 2: Plains, Watchwolf
Turn 3: land, Wilt-Leaf Liege, swing for 5
Turn 4: Knight of New Alara, swing for 7 and 6
Turn 5: Tolsimir, swing for 9/9 Watchwolf, 8/8 Wilt-Leaf Liege, and 8/8 Knight of New Alara.
Turn 6: ???
Turn 7: PROFIT!
That's what I'm talking about.

This card is decent if your opponent likes to make you discard, in general only black decks make you discard, and there are even fewer decks that like to make you discard. Sideboard card otherwise.

And if you just wnat the boosts, you've got better options like honor of the pure.

I sort of view this card as a jack of all trades sort of thing. Everything about it screams 'decent'. The +1/+1 pumps are always handy but rarely a game-breaker on their own. A 4/4 for 4 is passable, but there's better 4 mana drops for both white and green. The fact that it is both a knight and an elf means it works with two common white and green creature themes. But At four CMC it's a little slower to play out than I'd sometimes like. Still, its ability is in its adaptability in my opinion.
