By seen this as a control deck, the "discard at random" has no problem, the problem is the "discard your hand", and yeah: its casting cost could be more reasonable.
Seen it as an aggro/unearth deck, I'd say "discard your hand" and then 3 more cards could be an HUGE pump up, regardless you still draw another 4 cards; but still, for 5 mana you could just discard your hand, discard 3 at random and draw 4 cards with much less casting cost... I think it should be just {U}{B}{R} or at least not to be a sorcery.

I really wish this had been target player instead of only yourself. That would have been a brutal finisher for my forced draw/discard deck what with multiple underworld dream/megrim/spiteful visions out.

I have 4 copies of this card in my shared fate deck, playing this with shared fate in play, I discard my hand, I exile 7 cards from someone's library, and discard no cards at random from my empty hand, great way to grab a handle on your opponents deck

I love it. 2BlueBlackRed to basically draw FOUR cards and mill yourself for three on turn five. Card advantage with a twist. Getting all three colors by turn five shouldn't be much of a problem as long as you have a good landbase, and by turn five your hand needs refilling so the "Discard your hand" clause seems irrelevant.

As far as the "discard three cards at random" part... why anyone would really fret over three cards going to the graveyard (especially in a grixis deck of all things) is beyond me. Lets face it - if losing three cards totally breaks your strategy, you were probably doomed to begin with.

It goes without saying that this targets casual game tables over professional ones, but its things like this that made me fall in love with magic and the color black. It's always a bit of a gamble, and in the right deck its setback can be benefitted from providing your graveyard doesn't mind being full. Would have been nice if it were "Demon themed" to fit th... If you just want a draw spell, use Tidings. This should literally never be used outside a deck that can really take advantage of sending 3-7 cards to the graveyard.

Works with any graveyard recursion, nets you 4 cards off an empty hand, and triggers any drawing triggers you've got, if any.

Fun in Burning Vengeance decks, provided you've packed your deck with flashback cards.
