Funny things is this thing is often too slow to beat a powerful affinity deck. It will usually work, but you'll be at 3 or 4 life.

Swings big when you have a few Disciple of the Vaults on the board and you and/or your opponent is heavy into artifacts.

I hate artifacts. Hate mirrodin. I play red. No brainer really. However it must be noted that especially if you're playing a burn deck or red weenie Obliterate is usually strictly better.

Yeah, you never really notice how many Sol Rings, Chromatic Lanterns, Gilded Lotuses, Lightning Greaves, and such are carpeting the field in EDH... until they're all gone. Muahaha
