Great card, I wonder how people rate this lower than 4 1/2 5 stars. Was a staple of standard and so far there has been no replacement for it in Zendikar.

How is this at lower than 4.5 stars? It's a creature, it's a lot more easily recycled and if you Momentary Blink it, you get 4 cards and a 2/2 flyer for 5 mana.

I miss this guy. We used to use him in elemental decks and/or control decks. My friend you are missed.

Evoke him, and with the sacrifice trigger on the stack, Momentary Blink him to keep him in play and draw an extra two cards. Next turn attack, flashback the Blink - profit!

This card was amazing. You almost always wanted to see one in your first few turns.

Divination costs {2U} and draws you cards. Mulldrifter staples it to a creature body. I like the drifter.
Melt Terrain costs {2RR}, munches a land, and Shocks the opponent. Avalanche Riders costs {3R}, munches a land, and swings for 2 combat damage. Which one is more popular?

Counsel of the Soratami + Wind Drake = 4UU & Two cards.
Mulldrifter = 4U & One card.
Did the math. This card is nuts.

@divine exodus, he said if you momentary blink the mulldrifter, which does indeed draw 4. 3 to evoke + 2 for momentary blink.

Ol'Drifter is probably one of the best drawing engines in the current Standard environment. Its a Counsel of the Soratami with a BODY that can be recycled. What more can you ask for?
