While it doesn't 'suck' it's not particularly great either

Yeah, I've found these guys to be effective in a / deck. Anything you can play without losing card advantage is worth considering, although this guy is a little weak. I don't think 3/3 would have been quite balanced either, however 2/3 seems reasonable...

Possibly the epitome of 'meh'. Playable, but not exceptional -- especially compared with the other three-drop hybrid cards. 3/5

Its the Merfolk Visionary except you pay and extra (G/U) for roids.

It sucks. Compare it to, say, Boggart Ram-Gang of the same cycle. Why couldn't this have been a 3/3?

could have had more stats, or flash, yes, flash would have been pretty fun, plus making this a decent creature.

In mono G/U or UG deck, it's 2 normal cards in one. Altogher, not very effective, yet in merfolk / wizard deck could find some use, i guess.

Should have been a 2/3 and had a Brainstorm effect rather than a simple draw.

I say it sucks. Why not just print a sorcery that said "put a 2/2 merfolk wizard token into play. Draw a card". That way, you can at least twincast it or something.
