"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" would have been much better if it was about these. I like the idea that this is the only creature that continues to damage opponents on the condition that it has touched them once, like the stain on your soul is so great that it keeps harming you even after the creature has stopped attacking. That, with it's creepy art and flavor text, makes for such great flavor.

Why not just something like Viridian Longbow
Hit each opponent, and then start binking creatures...

Jesper was awesome with black cards and he made this one creepy as heck. I've always loved the flavor of it, even more now that it's become a zombie.
Unfortunately, it isn't a very good card. The ability does combo in casual play with Arcane Teachings since it isn't limited to combat damage, and the extra toughness will help with most burnage.

I was gonna suggest Krovikan Plague to keep it mono-black but just realised it's Krovikan Plague that deals the damage not the creature...

The 2/3 toughness means after it hits, it can rest as a blocker against 2 power guys and, thanks to its power, still do damage.

I just read The Gathering Dark by Jeff Grubb, and these were mentioned. Yay! I know my Magicz.
Anyway, this card is cool, even if it is a little black-mana intensive. I personally like it.
