I see this card much more in legacy than anyone seems to give it credit for. Most every major threat is gonna come early so it hits all of them and considering most of the strongest decks out there range from aggro loam, maverik, elves, delver, rug, countertop this card tends to be a take all of importance. Jace, the mind sculptor is a pain in every black decks back side but that's why you play therapy, hymn, duress or thoughtseize along side this. this card deserves at least 4.5/5 stars.

This used to be the Thoughtseize that didn't break the bank. Now it just breaks the bank slightly less.

Nice interaction against green sideboards, because they can't trick you into hitting Obstinate Baloth.
